I wouldn't write off 2020 as a completely disastrous year. Maybe it was for a lot of people. It was certainly bad for the economy, with massive retrenchment and businesses shuttered for good. There is always a silver lining in every dark cloud, if we look for it, if we have the patience and resilience to learn from the challenges and bounce back, stronger and leaner.
For SeniorsAloud, it was no different from what other NGOs or CSOs were experiencing, perhaps more restrictive because of the demographics. As most of our members fall in the 'vulnerable age category', we were reminded to stay at home as much as possible. This effectively put all our carefully planned activities on hold indefinitely. It was especially hard for those of us living alone.
